Hey!
This is the second newsletter of FlutterThisWeek.com after a heavy week of AI tool launches last time.
Let's dive in.
Flutter 2025 Roadmap
βFlutter 2025 Roadmap has been announced:
Also check out the Medium article by Michael Thomsen here.
eibaan, who's a Top 1% Commenter on r/FlutterDev subreddit made a summary of it:
I am personally excited to see the improvements on Web side (as most of my web apps are built with Flutter Web) and the part where they say leaving desktop to Canonical.
β
DreamFlow - one week in the wild!
On the previous newsletter broadcast I've mentioned DreamFlow launch, an AI text-to-app builder for Flutter.
Here's the statistics for the first week, says their product design lead:
They also added a cool splash view for their website (which is Flutter Web):
The company behind DreamFlow is famous Flutterflow. The statistics make sense. #KnowHow #Experience
β
Flutter Connection Conference
The French Flutter Conference held in Paris between 3 and 4 April 2025.
I skipped it this year. Locked-in with my personal projects.
Planning going to FlutterCon Berlin and Flutter & Friends Stockholm at the second half of the year with my camera to do some vlogs for FlutterThisWeek π€©π₯

Morphr - Figma to Flutter
A new tool launched this week: Morphr.
It's for exporting Flutter widgets from Figma?
Here's their website:
The interesting part is: "Sync your app UI over-the-air". How?
I've signed up for the beta. I'll try whenever they let me in.
And to be honest, it has been two weeks since I've started doing this newsletter and there are already a ton of things that I'm promising to test and share π«
Did I start newsletter in an abundance era of Flutter?
β
Vide - super early access
βNorbert Kozsir announced super early access of Vide -an AI powered Flutter IDE- in their Discord community.
Unfortunately, I'm not using Discord at all. So, I'll wait the public beta to test it out.
β
Clerk Flutter SDK - Public Beta
I got excited when Nash shared the news about Clerk already releasing a public beta version of their SDK:
For those who don't know, Clerk is a popular authentication and User Management Platform.
And their Dart and Flutter SDKs are now available on pub:
Yesterday I was looking for options on how to implement social auth to my Flutter app easily and decided to give a try to Clerk Flutter SDK.
I didn't find what I was looking for. Here are my initial honest thoughts:
First of all, I would expect them to make a wrapper around their native SDK. But for some reason(s) they've built the SDK in dart. Which is okay.
In terms of documentation, this is it:
Maybe this is the only thing they offer.
But I was looking to get some SDK methods to call to use Google Auth on my Flutter app instead of embedding their whole UI where I can't customize it to my app's brand identity.
They use lots of dependencies. Even adaptive_dialog and phone_input:
I don't know. Sure they'll improve it or this is not for my use-case at all.
