Vide - Flutter AI-IDE

Can we say finally someone made it?

I don't have access to it yet, but according to the founder, Vide is a "CLI which wraps into your flutter run command and to compile the Flutter application into a canvas view which gives superpowers to Flutter developers."

I'm curious to see how it can be useful and to whom.

DreamFlow - a text-to-app AI for Flutter

The name can be familiar to you. It should. It's from the creators of the famous FlutterFlow.

It's kinda' Bolt/Replit/v0 for Flutter apps. Can we say finally someone made it?

To surprise you more, FlutterFlow officials say DreamFlow itself was built in FlutterFlow.

When you visit their website dreamflow.com you directly land on the app that is built with Flutter (Web). It can benefit from a splash screen while the app is loading.

Can this make Flutter as a cross-platform app development tool more attractive? I'm curious to see how it will evolve.

Didn't had too much time to play with it. But it is a good start as far as I can see.

Teta.so - an app for making apps

Does the name sound familiar?

One or two years ago, while scrolling on the Play Store I found an app named "Teta" which was claiming to help make mobile apps inside the app. Not interested at that time. Didn't try it.

After some time, I saw "Build With Theta" posts on LinkedIn. It was kind of a server-side UI for Flutter where you can build and update your app dynamically. Still not interested enough to spare time to try it.

But I was impressed by the brand identity they were able to create.

As far as I can remember and trace back to, I see that it was first "Teta" an app builder, then "Theta" an on-air Flutter UI builder, then (and now) "Teta.so" as a text-to-app AI app builder which outputs Flutter apps.

They pivoted a lot.

They were open to admit their failures and share experiences.

Let's see what current Teta.so as a text-to-app AI app builder does.

The first impression is that it does something different. At least on the surface.

See the AI in the role of "Product manager"? If that can really turn into a product manager that you can talk to and give tasks to, it can be game-changing.

I hope they can do that and wish them luck.

So much tools to try and write about this week. So, unfortunately couldn't test them all in whole.

Scabld

​Scabld is another AI app builder for Flutter apps.

Their motto is: "Build mobile, web, and desktop apps in seconds. No coding, no setup... just prompt, preview, and refine."

Their UI seems simpler and it includes the folder structure too.

FlutterFlow AI Agent builder

FlutterFlow launches AI Agent builder to natively integrate AI Agents into FlutterFlow apps:

Versionarte reaches v2.0.0

​versionarte is a package that helps Flutter developers to implement force update mechanism, show that a new update is available and disable the app for maintenance with total freedom over the UI.

And now it reached its second major version.

What makes it different is that it doesn't force you to use its built-in widgets but rather total freedom to use your own brand's design system.

To be honest that's not it for this week. There are plenty of new tools, articles and news that I wanted to cover in the newsletter.

But it was too much for the initial one. I'm still learning how to journal better.
